The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is Israel’s leading museum of modern and contemporary art, and home to one of the world’s largest collections of Israeli art. Since its founding in 1932, the Museum has served as one of Tel Aviv’s major cultural hubs, displaying a vibrant mix of permanent collections and temporary exhibitions in a wide variety of fields – painting, sculpture, prints and drawings, photography, video, architecture and design.

The Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv is a multi-disciplinary museum focusing on the history and culture of the Land of Israel through an array of extensive permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibits in archaeology, ethnography, folklore, Judaica, cultural history and local identity, traditional crafts and practical arts. On display at the museum are reconstructed and working manufacturing installations, including wine and oil presses, a flour mill, and a “craft arcade," where one can see the traditional working tools common to the Land of Israel and the region.
Holon Museum of Design- The building's sinuous ribbon facade of Corten weathering steel is alive, forming a blend of textural, spatial and optical experiences that seamlessly meld the principles of sculpture, architecture, design and art for the enjoyment of the public. A dialogue with visitors is fostered as they meander through the open-sky Upper Gallery or down the winding staircase from the lobby to the Lower Gallery.

Our first “field trip” takes us to 2 small but different wineries in the Sharon region. Starting at the Avidan Winery we continue to Saslove Winery and learn how each winemaker’s philosophy influences the choice of wines produced and the methods used in the process.

Neot Kedumim is a network of theme gardens in a Biblical Nature Reserve which helps illustrate Israel’s Biblical heritage.

After only a few minutes driving we reach Latrun, the memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Armored Corps, and site of one of the fiercest battles in the War of Independence.

No visit to Israel is complete without paying tribute to the victims of the Holocaust at Yad Vashem, the National Memorial, and to State dignitaries buried at Mount Herzl.

At Machane Yehuda market a chef will lead a tour to see and taste the produce of the market. Fish, meat, olives, spices and herbs are all part of this culinary experience, although the highlight is a cheese tasting.

Today’s field trip brings us to the Judean Hills and the Tzuba Winery which is built on the remnants of ancient wine presses that date back to Biblical times.

Ascend by cable car to the fortress of Massada, last stronghold of the Jewish zealots in their revolt against the Romans. Experience floating in the waters of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth.

The Golan Heights is modern Israel's newest wine region and one of its most precious. Featuring volcanic soil, the vineyards here produce some of Israel's best and most interesting wines. The Golan Heights Winery and its premiere Yarden label pioneered premium dry wines in Israel with their first planting in 1976. We will taste their wines in Katzrin, the capitol of wine making in the Golan, and the Odem Mountain Winery, the most northern winery in Israel.

Head south to the ruins at Caesarea, once the capital and main harbor of Judea, with a Roman Theater, aqueduct, bath house and sculptures discovered in remarkable condition.

Founded by the famous Jewish Bordeaux wine family,the Rothschilds of Lafite Rothschild fame, the Carmel Winery is the most historically significant winery in Israel. We'll visit their amazing facility in Zichron Ya'acov, Israel's first modern wine village and taste a sampling of their wines that have helped spark an avalanche of praise for Israeli wines. Even though they are Israel's largest winery, they also make award-winning smaller batch boutique style wines that often win international awards.
